Journey

What's an almost 50-year old Irish-American-writer-programmer- independent-person to do? Drive across the country and then return...63 days, back and forth, west, north, east, then south. Off and running...July 2, 2005...Saturday, 6 am. One day later than planned, due to an unexpected dental procedure. Ouch, but better now.

More tomorrow.

Have a great trip!

Stop here - I wanna see!!

Hey Mare - Remember when Dad used to say to us kids on long car rides, "Don't Make Me Pull This Car Over"?

Well, while in Hawaii last week, I found a tee shirt labeled "Dad's Tour" showing a grimacing father figure at the steering wheel saying the same thing. It brought back memories to say the least. So much so, the tee shirt now resides on my back.

Sounds like the trip is going well.

I've been told the Irish are actually Scotts that could swim... That's a long haul from Palestine - back stroke!

ARRF!!Rusty says hi
What roads are you traveling by?
On any of the routes,
Have you met any kooks?
Or tasted Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie?

Hi. Several years ago I must have read your blog and really liked it. I found it today saved on my "Favorites". Ok, my favorites are about a mile long.
I'm in my early 60's (that's NOT old)
and going to Ireland in October for my very
first time.
Any advice or places to see would be greatly
welcome!
Thanks,
Lois
