Sam

When I was a kid, my dear old dad Frank J. called me "Mary of Assisi."

"No, Mare, we can't keep him," I would hear when some lost pup would follow me home. It is always heartbreaking for me to see an animal lost, hurt or forgotten.

Here's one who is not forgotten, is sorely missed, and needs a good home. One of my favorite students, Mike, emailed me about Sam, an 11-month-old neutered male Yellow Lab who needs new digs. Mike's good friend James can no longer keep Sam, and is truly distressed about it.

Sam currently resides in the Augusta Regional SPCA in Staunton, VA. The adopter does not have to live in VA, so Sam is free to travel the world with you.

So, if anyone out there has a home for this puppy boy, please speak up.

Wish I had room for Sam. He sounds like a winner.
